For being selected into the BHRDCA Representative Squads to play in the Victorian Metropolitan Cricket Union(VMCU) Shield Junior Carnival in January 2012. This annual carnival is the premier event of its kind in Victoria and is seen as a primary feeder to the Victorian cricket pathway. It brings together representative teams from associations across greater metropolitan Melbourne in under 16, under 14 and under 12 age-groups. Competition begins in the first week of January 2012.

For being selected into the Box Hill Cricket Club U15 Hatch Squad.
The U15 Hatch Shield is a Victorian Sub–District Cricket Association (VSDCA) premier turf competition regarded as a premier competition for the future of Victorian cricket. For many aspiring young Victorian cricketers this is seen as an important milestone and often marks a player’s first matches on professionally prepared turf wickets in a premier competition. Competition begins on 9th January 2012.

For being selected into the U16 Emus Squad representing the Inner Eastern Metropolitan Region at the 2012 State Championships commencing mid January. The Inner Eastern Metropolitan region encompasses the home grounds of 72 cricket clubs with junior and senior teams. Well done Tom on being selected from a large field of players with a large depth of talent.

The program covers a range of fundamental motor skills important to childhood development – hitting a ball, catching, throwing, running, stopping, balance and co-ordination. In addition it involves important social skills including teamwork, co-operation, communication, and learning how to approach winning and losing.

To register your name and have a MILO registration form sent out to you, please sign up online. Parents are actively encouraged to participate and enjoy the sessions as much as their children.

The official start date for the POCC MILO program is 19th October 2011. Sessions will run on a Wednesday evening from 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm approximately. Our Under 10′s and 12′s also train on a Wednesday, and it is our intention to move the MILO participants between the ground and nets to allow for different activities to be run.

The program will be run by Himal Perera (one of our senior players) who has had previous experience running the MILO program at Vermont Cricket Club. Himal will require assistance from you (where possible) to run the program, however we understand this is not possible in all cases. Himal will also be assisted by our other seniors players and some of our more experienced juniors over the duration of the program.

Further information will be passed on during the season including dates for Christmas break, sausage sizzle and certificate presentation. More information on the MILO program.

Registration forms will be available on the day, or your can download them using the links below. Payment by cash/cheque/EFT.  All Junior Players registering this season are required to provide a completed POCC Junior Registration form and a BHRDCA Registration form.  Junior Players new to the club this season are required to provide a copy of birth certificate with registration forms.

For those that can’t make the early bird registration, we will be holding another registration day on September 3rd, 2011 at Domeney Reserve, 10am-1pm.

Juniors don’t pay extra for playing seniors.
